Dan Seeland, owner of Strickland Home Inspections, has over 20 years experience in the building industry and brings a vast set of knowledge to each of his inspections. His past work as a general contractor, coupled with extensive hands-on experience in the trades, and further training through Kaplan Professional Schools, ensures that when Dan inspects your home, he’ll know what he’s looking at. His goal: for your inspection to equip you with the information you need to make your best informed real estate decisions. Dan also brings years of teaching experience to his role as inspector and prides himself in his ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. For Dan, knowledge and the ability to communicate, or pass on that knowledge, always go hand in hand. As he puts it, “At the end of the day, my job is not just about inspecting a home, it’s also about communicating my findings in a way that leads to educated and satisfied clients.”
Apart from inspecting homes, Dan also enjoys renovating them. He has a particular affinity for Craftsman style homes from the 1920s and takes special pride in restoring period finishes while adding modern touches to fit today’s lifestyles. He has done whole house renovations on numerous properties throughout the Twin Cities.
On the rare occasion when you can’t get hold of Dan, he’s probably fly-fishing somewhere in Wyoming. While he admits Minnesota is a great place to live, in his opinion Wyoming is a close second. Ask him and he might tell you about some of his favorite places.
